Today I’m joined by Senator Nicole Ryan, a Sinn Féin senator who, last year, experienced the heartbreaking loss of her baby at 12 weeks.
Nicole has been incredibly open about her experience with miscarriage and is now using her voice to push for real change.
In this episode, we talk about her own story, the silence and stigma that still surrounds miscarriage, and the work being done to change that, from the Pregnancy Loss Bill, to cross-party advocacy, to the beginnings of a national campaign.
It’s a heartfelt, vulnerable and deeply honest conversation about grief, care, and the need for recognition and support.
Some parts of this episode touch on baby loss and may feel emotionally heavy so please take care as you listen.
💛 As always, if you’ve been impacted by pregnancy loss, please know you are not alone.
