Just another example of how Trump is checking boxes that show we are past a constitutional crisis and in the throes of authoritarian rule. Trump is now asking for the SCOTUS to allow him to torture and rendition people legally. We are a nation of immigrants who used to care about human rights and international laws including those against torture, it is what made us better than despots. We are still America but who knows for how much longer; we built a Republic, but it does not look like we can keep it!
