Previously on Showdown in the Yukon: Ex-pickpocket "Monterey" Jack Danvers has been hired by his old partner, Mack Sutherland, to help Mrs. Finch and her daughter Lucy recover a gold deed in the Yukon. The adventure has involved bandits, pirates, a shipwreck, and wandering through mysterious mountain caves. They are now hoping in the kindness of a native tribe to get them safely to the Yukon before the first snowfall, but Mack and the native, Mungo, have a troubled history.
