Ex-pickpocket "Monterey" Jack Danvers has been hired by his old partner, Mack Sutherland, to help Mrs. Finch and her daughter Lucy recover a gold deed in the Yukon. The adventure has involved bandits, a shipwreck, a mysterious pearl-like stone, and a just-in-time rescue with a native tribe... all leading to meeting a reclusive mountain man named Pete.
In an attempt to help them reach Penny Canyon before the first snowfall, he led them to the edge of the Lenkua Forest. All our adventurers have to do is stay on the path no matter what... but will they be able to do that?
