Previously on... Evan Gold is a private detective in Athens, Kansas. His head is swimming after the strange events of the week - his partner is murdered, the widow and the police name him suspect number one in the recent murders, and Evan needs to find the real murderer before he ends up in Leavenworth.
Now that Evan has finally met the person who has been putting thoughts in his mind, he needs to get back to who killed his partner. The only other person he can talk to is Harold Huber, but where is he so early in the morning? The plot is about to get as thick as the air around a Louisana bayou.
