Previously on... Evan Gold is a private detective in Athens, Kansas. His head is swimming after the strange events of the week - his partner is murdered, the widow and the police name him suspect number one in the recent murders, and Evan needs to find the real murderer before he ends up in Leavenworth.
It has now come time for Evan to regroup after a very eventful and stressful night of cops, shady characters, and reminders of his crumbling marriage. But things are not getting any better as Evan discovers a guest in his office that needs a new hiding place. The plot is shaping up to get as thick as refrigerated gravy.
