映画談義ポッドキャストパーソナリティまこです。
今回は泣く子も黙るミレニアム最強SF作品 #マトリックス です。
放送の中でも触れましたが、ビジュアルデザイン、映像技術を駆使したスタイリッシュなアクション、そしてなにより奇抜かつ巧妙な設定が話題を博したシリーズです。
とにかく面白いし、ストーリーも考察のしがいがある。
2000年代当時の社会の変化のスピードと、なぜか感じる閉塞感。
そうした時代の息吹を感じながら見ると、奥行きがどんどん増してきます。
でもね、リザレクションを見てみると、またなんか見え方が変わってきた気がするんだよ。
なんでかな。時代の変化？社会の変化？作り手の変化？あるいは見ている自分の変化？
世界の中に自分がいる以上、自分を認知するためには世界を認知しなければならず逆もまた然り。
私たちは世界を通して自分を見ているし、自分を通して社会を見ているのだ。
自分と世界。
世界が虚構だったとしたら自分すら虚構かも知れないと疑い始める今日この頃。
なぜかサイファーに心ひかれてしまうのです。

Hi, I’m Mako — your film-loving podcast host.
This episode, we’re diving into the millennium-defining sci-fi masterpiece: #TheMatrix.
As mentioned in the show, it’s a groundbreaking series known for its iconic visual design, revolutionary film techniques, and — above all — its bold, intricate worldbuilding.
It’s stylish, action-packed, and absolutely fascinating. The story holds up to endless rewatching and analysis.
Revisiting it in the context of the early 2000s — a time of rapid social change mixed with a strange sense of stagnation — adds layers of meaning.
But after watching Resurrections, my perspective on the original films shifted again.
Why? Is it the changing times? Society? The creators themselves? Or… is it me who's changed?
If we exist in the world, then to know ourselves, we must know the world — and vice versa.
We see the world through ourselves. And we see ourselves through the world.
But if the world is an illusion… maybe we are too?
Lately, I find myself strangely drawn to Cypher. I wonder why.
