About Sacred Stories of the Spirit
This new podcast creates space for honest conversations about how we find meaning in a world where so much is shifting. We talk about personal turning points, spiritual unravelings, creative awakenings, and the stories we’ve outgrown. Hosted by author and artist Jordan Harcourt-Hughes, guests offer insights, expertise and lived wisdom on storytelling as medicine and as a pathway to healing, intuitive way-finding, meaning-making and reclaiming our personal narrative.
Episode commentary from Jordan
In this conversation, we're diving into origin stories. My guests, Dr. Mark Crosweller and former GP, now labyrinth expert and facilitator, Marg Rainbird, join me in a conversation around consciousness, identity, and the intersection of science and spirituality. We explore the complexities of non-verbal communication, the challenges of established narratives, and the importance of cultural knowledge. We explore personal storytelling and the journey of examining and releasing old stories, exploring the transformative nature of identity and the human experience.

About our Guests
Marg Rainbird trained as a GP, and attending a weekend workshop on practitioner wellbeing and burnout, came across book called Kitchen Table Wisdom by Rachel Naomi Remen. Many of the book’s stories reflected Marg’s experience as a medical professional and it was here that she first heard of the labyrinth as a path for walking meditation. Since that time, Marg has been exploring the symbolic, the metaphoric, and the ways in which our subconscious communicates with us. After a period of significant health issues Marg decided to walk a different labyrinth every day for a year. Her pilgrimage started with a workshop at Chartres cathedral in France, which was the as the jumping off point of 12 months travel and over 400 labyrinths.
Marg lives in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Australia.
