AI and the Law:
The Politics of AI is non-partisan, or should be. The Copyright and other Laws needing update are not a Left/Right thing but indeed as many things "lag behind" until things get bad and out-of-control. As a former IT guy I talk about how AI is like the old GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out) saying - it garners info from the Internet to peoples' inquiries and doesn't always properly give "accreditation" when/where/as it should and "just cuz" you flag a TermsOfService box does not make that information it gives you "fully usable" under Fair-Use Laws and you may get into Copyright issues if you're then "quoting"/using without Legally identifying you're doing so of/with someone else's "work" as part of a response it gives. related: https://www.thelibertybeacon.com/ai-services-and-the-law/
