Are We Content With His Absence? // Dominick Butler
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. -Isa 65:17
Why are we clinging to dust, when we are destined for glory?
It is imperative we as the Church keep the glorious promise of Christ's return at the center of our attention & affection. His absence should cause our hearts to long for Him and diligently prepare for Him. The Holy Spirit is on the inside of us ever preparing us for the glorious return of the Bridegroom. Principalities of darkness have worked relentlessly to dilute the transforming beauty of Heaven & what God has prepared for His saints. The enemy has done this as a way to inflate christians love for the world. We must awaken to the beauty of His righteousness & what's to come!
1) His Absence Fuels Our Evangelism
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matt 24:14)
2) His Absence Fuels Our Intercession
Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 21:36)
3) His Absence Fuels Our Discipleship
that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. (John 17:21-23)
