Self Care Practice—Concentration Meditation

First

Sit in silence, breathing naturally while allowing your mind to focus on what you have been learning about yourself this week

Whether it is in regards to the scripture or the word patience

2nd

Begin to visualize this specific word or passage

3rd

Ask this question—What is God revealing to me?

Or what am I noticing from visualizing this word or passage

4th

As you process—Recognize or notice…Where are you feeling it in your body

5th

Take a  deep breath in and slowly exhale the lies and negative thoughts

Lastly

Focus on the part of your body where you feel tension the most

Take several deep breathes followed by a slow exhale while focusing on releasing the tension from that part of your body

Focus during Meditation on the scripture for the week (Romans 5:3-5) or the singular word "Patience"

Type 1— as you sit in silence and reflect on scripture or a single word…

Ask where are you being rigid?

Type 2— lean into being alert and expectant specifically waiting for God to show himself to you

Type 3— ask how you can slow down and develop passionate patience

Type 4— allow space to be present and open

Type 5—allow yourself to express your feeling about what you are going through remember God loves you

Type 6— spend time focusing on the ways God has shown up for you

Type 7— allow yourself to feel the emotions with in any troubling situation

Type 8— Ask God for help in developing passionate patience

Type 9—Meditate on being open and alert with great expectation
