Troy Carter is the CEO of Earthshot Labs, which is building the technology for planetary-scale ecological restoration. He is also a co-founder at RIZOME, which is pioneering the use of bamboo engineered lumber as a climate-positive alternative to wood, steel and concrete. He is bringing the audacious scale and vision of startup methodology to the planet’s ecological and climate crisis.
He graduated from Stanford University with a degree in economics, was an early employee at Airbnb and E la Carte, then founded and scaled Troy Cider and exited after a successful acquisition 2015. He has focused on carbon finance and renewable energy and agriculture projects for the last six years.
