🎙️ Episode #22
Welcome back! This week, we’re excited to introduce a brand-new segment where we dive into some unique record finds and see who comes out on top. Let’s get into it!
🆕 Bargain Bin Battle (Name in Production)
In our new segment, Bargain Bin Battle, we each get a budget of £5/€5 to find a record, and then we face off to see which one is the winner. The competition is based on criteria like the backstory, music quality, and overall vibe. This week, we’ve got two interesting picks:
La Bionda – One for You, One for Me (12" single): Billy managed to grab this 1978 disco classic, but the real story lies in how he found it—in a sketchy backroom of a record store, no less! We’ll unpack the adventure behind buying this gem and why this Italo disco hit still holds up.
Dilly Dally – Sore: The debut album from Canadian alt-rockers Dilly Dally, Sore packs a punch with its raw sound and emotional depth. We’ll break down the backstory behind the band and discuss some of our favorite tracks from this explosive album.
Since this segment is still in its trial phase, we want to hear from you! Got a better name for it? Drop your suggestions in the comments or hit us up on social media. The best idea wins, and we’ll give you a shoutout!
