Father's Day Special, the POPScast! This episode we are joined by some heavy-hitters, amazing men and awesome examples Mike Richards, Chris Acosta and Luis Talavera. These dads came onto the pod to chat about the power of a father. Besides the biblical evidence for father's in their children's lives, we dive into statistics such as:
- The #1 common trait among male/female ISIS fighters is an absent father
- Students from father-present families score higher in math & science, even if coming from weaker schools
- Boys who are dad-deprived are more likely than their sisters to be unemployed
- Father absence predicts the profile of both bullies & the bullied: lower self-esteem, lower grades, poor social skills
- Children living with their married biological father as opposed to a stepdad did significantly better academically & had stronger chances of graduating high school & college
- By 1st grade boys & girls with present fathers had significantly higher IQ scores

- Today 18.3 million children in the US live without their father, compromising 1 out of 4 children
