His life has been a winding road, so full of experiences that we couldn't possibly squeeze it all into one episode - hence, we split his journey into two parts. This is his story.

In Part 1, we get to know Dwayne. His upbringing, his motivations, his interests, his defining moments. Growing up in East Chicago, Indiana, life wasn't easy. Yet, through the highs and lows, Dwayne was constantly supported - until he wasn't. Rapidly uprooting one's childhood can have that effect. Depending on with whom he surrounded himself in his impressionable years, Dwayne seemed to flip flop from good situations to bad situations, ebbing and flowing between a man of great promise and a kid without a clear direction. Yet, as he explains, certain seminal moments (and people) helped keep him on the right path as he made his way into young adulthood.
