Description

Why do we call God by different names? In this series we will explore six names for God that help us understand His character and are fulfilled through Jesus. In our current culture it is common for people to pick names for children based on how they sound or how popular they are. In Biblical Hebrew culture, names were chosen because they reflected the character of the individual or the promise for their life. This truth starts with God. Throughout the scriptures, God reveals himself in many ways including through His name. As we dig into this series and bridge the gap between the Old Testament and the New, it is our aim to see the consistency of Christ and how He is always active in our lives. May we grow in believing the Truth about who God says HE IS.

Key scripture passages: Deuteronomy 32:6, Isaiah 40:28, John 1
