This week we decided it was time to just get it out of our system and devote an entire episode to one of our favorite Disney films turned Broadway phenomenon, NEWSIES!
We discussed the transition from film to stage, how under utilized the iconic actors in the film were, the song/lyric changes, what works, what doesn't...
We also spent some time discussing the Original Broadway Cast and how wonderful they all are.
There cannot be enough good things said about NEWSIES. Disney struck gold when they decided to take a chance on the little show that could- it continued to surprise Disney Theatrical over and over and was one of the most successful and beloved Broadway shows of the decade.
