On today’s episode, I’m picking the brains of a serial entrepreneur. Growing up in Monaghan, this week’s guest began his roller coaster career journey as a radio officer in the British Merchant Navy. Realising it was perhaps a job that could only take him so far he left, went on to gain some more qualifications and for the next 30 years found himself working with Shell Mex and BP. Relocating back to Ireland led him to discover his first solo business idea that appeared in the form of tomatoes and well the rest is a long and exciting history. At 87 years old, having just rewritten his memoirs in the book, Adventures of a Serial Entrepreneur, here’s what it’s like to be Fred Duffy.
