On today’s episode, I’m chatting to Irish broadcaster and host of RTÉ Radio One’s Liveline. Finding his passion for conversation through his early work as a social worker, radio has been a huge part of his life for as long as he can remember. Coming across a newspaper ad for a producing training scheme at Ireland’s national broadcaster, he jumped at the chance and dove straight into what would become his new world. Beginning as a producer on the Pat Kenny show, it wasn’t long before the ambitious young talent found himself being called up to work alongside Gay Byrne and well, it all kicked off from there. Landing Liveline, gaining a reputation as the man of the people, dabbling in TV work and penning three books are just some of the experiences today’s guest has encountered. Sharing his journey, here’s what it’s like to Joe Duffy.
