Description

On today’s episode, I’m chatting with the founder of Reebok, the British footwear and clothing company. Growing up during WWII in Bolton, this week’s guest was no stranger to the world of athletics. Hailing from the family behind JW Foster & Sons, the company that pioneered the running track spike, shoes were in his DNA. Returning home from two years of national service to a failing company, he decided to leave the family business behind and with his brother, set up Mercury Sports Footwear which would eventually evolve into the number one sportswear brand in the world - Reebok. Beginning the journey with a pair of cycling shoes, the brothers slowly took over the market, breaking America and winning the hearts of Hollywood. To share his incredible journey, here’s what it’s like to be Joe Foster.
