Description

On today’s episode, I’m chatting to a neuroscience expert, writer and author living with Cystic Fibrosis. Born with the genetic disorder, this week’s guest had no ordinary childhood. Living in 23 different cities before the age of 18 as her family struggled to finance her illness, she became an incredibly imaginative kid, a trait that would soon become the foundation blocks to her future career success. Being fired from a job in recruitment due to multiple hospitalisations, the ambitious entrepreneur found herself on social security disability - little did she know at the time that while couch surfing off Craig’s List, she had reached the beginning of her pivotal adventure. Surviving well past her estimated life expectancy of 14, now in her thirties, she hasn’t let anything hold her down. Writing a book from the hospital bed, speaking on stages across the US and becoming an expert in the field of neurolinguistic programming, here’s what it’s like to be Klyn Elsbury.
