On today’s episode, I’m chatting with founder of Peppercorn - an initiative connecting businesses with excess food in order to feed those who need it most in our communities. Living in Surrey, it was his summers spent in his parents’ home of Iran that sparked an entrepreneurial flare in this week’s guest. Busy testing the waters from a young age, it was time spent at university that allowed him to really get the ball rolling with the launch of his social enterprise. Noticing the amount of food waste that came from cafes and restaurants, he wanted to change the way things worked. Racking his brain for ways to redistribute the food that would otherwise end up in the bin, he came up with a system that would eventually earn him a spot at the Undergraduate of the Year Awards. To share how he did it, here’s what it’s like to be Sina Sadrzadeh.
