Betty Brown came to the U.S. from Costa Rica as a ten-year old girl. She learned a new language, obtained a college education, and met and married her husband. A strong, entrepreneurial leader, Betty became chief operations officer at a medical facility. But she stepped away from her successful career to direct the Portland Open Bible Church food pantry.
