10/22/19 On today's episode we welcome Cody Kirtz, a huge sports fan, aspiring teacher, and good friend of the show. We opened with talking about our weekend's, including Jacob's last wedding of the season and Jake's weekend trip to Arizona (0:00-8:12). Then we discuss the football weekend, focusing on Cowboys/Eagles, Packers/Raiders, Rams/Falcons, and Patriots/Jets (8:12-31:00). With the basketball season and World Series both getting underway, we talk about that a little bit and give a couple predictions (31:00-44:10). Continuing in the sports theme, Cody gives us a rundown of his favorite teams and some of his all-time favorite players and moments (44:10-1:01:15). From there we spend some time hearing about Cody's personal life and upbringing, and that turns into a great conversation about the teaching profession (1:01:15-1:19:50). We spend the rest of the show hearing about many of the different aspects of Cody's faith (1:19:50-1:47:00).
