Robert Rodriguez wrapped up the first (and only?) season of The Book of Boba Fett with some great action and some head scratching moments. Even casual fans of Star Wars continue to puzzle over the "mods" and their place in the show. The rancor should have been a show stopper, but Grogu is the money maker, let's not pretend we don't know it.\
Chain mail (obviously) won out over Yoda's lightsaber and Luke sent his potential first student on the first bus home. Fennec Shand continues to be the best assassin a life debt can buy. Taanti gives up his cycler. Cobb stews in bacta. Krrsantan's hide isn't for trade because he's still using it. This is the Way is more than a podcast, it's a battle cry of honor.
In the Name of Honor felt like an apt send off. Boba Fett remembered he was carrying the stick he made at the last moment. Din Djarin pulled out the Darksaber and actually used it. Grogu came back and used the Force TWICE. Garsa Fwip and her fantastic lekku are gone, man, just gone.
We had high hopes for the series, but the news about a short wait until Obi-wan Kenobi debuts on Disney Plus has us excited once again. Yes, it might feel too soon to jump off the Boba bandwagon, but--and it sounds awful to put it this way--the show is part of the past already.
