Manny Ortiz joins me on this week's all new Forum to talk about how his experiences with trauma, PTSD and opiate abuse created a perfect storm with a food addiction that brought him to 556 pounds, merely existing instead of living. His life was small and filled with darkness until he realized that he needed to not only fight to find the light, but use the tools and resources outside of himself to do so. His story is one of triumph and battle that will inspire anyone regardless of where they are in their journey. We also talk about one of his true lifesavers, his service dog Kaia! Manny is now down over 275 pounds and is working every day to remind himself that it is indeed possible to thrive in this world, even when you have had to conquer many battles.
