He should’ve left them.
They broke the covenant. They rebelled. They turned their backs on Him.
But in Deuteronomy 4:31, we get a name that doesn’t make sense — El Rachum — The Compassionate God.
This episode is for the ones who think they’ve gone too far or stayed away too long.
Because even in judgment, God’s heart was still leaning toward mercy.
He didn’t forget the promise.
He didn’t forget you.
And this name proves He never will.
