EP. 26 — Don’t Run With Everybody

When was the moment you realized you were actually supported? Not just invited. Not just around. But truly backed by the people you choose to do life with.

In this episode, I reflect on running my first Urban Iron, what it taught me about accountability, and how community changes what you think is possible. Everybody who finished that race won, because the real race is always against yourself. First you finish. Then you find your baseline. Then you build from there.

We talk about social burnout, the difference between crews that push you versus crews that drain you, and why adult friendships don’t happen by accident, they’re built with intention.

I also share how joining the Good Pain run community over the last 8 weeks completely reshaped my relationship with discipline, consistency, and belief in my own capacity. Sometimes the right people don’t just run with you. They change your pace.

And of course, we tap into this week’s Footwork and how the FuelCell Rebel v5 is a perfect metaphor for the kind of support system that helps you sustain the long run.

If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, outgrowing rooms, or craving more aligned community, this one’s for you.

You don’t have to run alone.
But you also don’t have to run with everybody.

Let dat boy live.
