Did you know that we are 99.9% identical! Across all of humanity there is only .1% difference in the DNA of any two people! This is even closer in familial ties. That is why we can often see the similarities in a father and a son or a mother and a daughter.
The same is true of God the Father and God the Son. Exodus says of God’s attributes that he is “merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth…”
When we look at Jesus, there is no doubt that there are attributes of His life that belong only to God. For example, Christ is all-powerful, omniscient, eternal, He never changes, and is perfectly holy. These are all attributes that only God has.
Just as our lives reflect our familial ties, the attributes of God are seen in the life of Jesus because He is God.
