Welcome to Daily Growth Point, I’m Pastor John Bingham.

In 1850, Fanny Crosby was invited to attend revival meetings with a friend. That camp was filled with powerful sermons that spoke deeply to her heart.

During the meeting, the blind poet went forward two times with a desire for salvation, but still felt as if it had eluded her. On the final night, the words to the invitation song rang with clarity, “Here, Lord, I give myself away. It’s all that I can do.” She realized that she had been trying to hold the world in one hand and the Lord in the other. She finally surrendered all to the Lord. She would go on later to write of this moment in the hymn, “Redeemed how I love to proclaim it.”

The Bible says salvation is provided only “with the precious blood of Christ.” Trusting in any thing else will leave you empty. Trust in Jesus alone today.
