Description

We’re taught that strength means putting on the armor and never letting anyone see us break. I lived that way in Iraq. I lived that way as a cop. But one case on the Child Abduction Response Team finally cracked through the surface — and showed me that what I thought was strength was really just survival mode.

In this Echo Short, I share how that moment became a turning point, and why real strength doesn’t come from silence, but from honesty, faith, and letting others in.

Don’t buy the lie that toughness means burying the pain. Real strength is found in the truth.
