Title: Reconciliation (Philemon 18–25)

In a world marked by ghosting, polarization, and loneliness, the gospel calls us to something radically different: reconciliation. In this sermon, Pastor Peter unpacks Paul’s appeal to Philemon to be reconciled to Onesimus, showing how true reconciliation is never forced, but requires each of us to do our part.

We explore four marks of gospel reconciliation from this text:

Being truthful about the wrong

Bearing the cost

Receiving the other as family

Entrusting the rest to God

Ultimately, these are not just things we do for one another — they are the very things Christ has done for us. He named our sin truthfully, bore the ultimate cost on the cross, received us into God’s family, and entrusted Himself fully to the Father.

As the church, we are called to reflect this gospel in our relationships, becoming a reconciled community that offers hope to a divided and lonely world.

Be a part of our community!
