Description

Kristen Stewart should be preparing her Oscar speech. This movie could not have been a walk in the park for her to make. It is physically intense, full of suffocating anxiety attacks, and is just an overall deep person to portray. This film takes a look into Princess Diana's three day Christmas holiday at The Queen's country estate. It shows Diana doing her best to take control of her role as a mother to her two young boys. Pretty hard to do when The Queen reigns supreme. She prevailed. She was able to break free from the confines of this over bearing family and live a life true to herself & sons. Despite it being short lived. Despite being hunted and hounded by the paparazzi. The score for the film is a beautiful mix of classical and jazz. The cinematography stuns. Kristen's performance is a revelation. Hauntingly well done.
