It's the North of Scotland Football League Podcast Christmas Special and Dave and Grant were delighted to be joined by Bridge of Don Thistle stalwart/ambassador/chairman/legend Lewis Muirhead on this week's show.
We reflect on Bridge of Don Thistle's season so far, Grill League Cup success in the final over Stonehaven and the journey to date for the north Aberdeen side. Lewis also reflects on his time as manager of the club and how everyone is in it together as the club strive to reach the promised land of league glory.
The guys then review the weekend's action across the Premiership and Championship. In a weekend where Bridge of Don Thistle, Longside and Rothie Rovers all drew, victories for Stonehaven and Hermes hauled them closer to the leading pack. Meanwhile, Dyce also recorded a comfortable win over Lossiemouth United while Buchanhaven Hearts continued their fabulous running by beating champions Culter in the Blue Toon.
In the Championship, with Fraserburgh United not in action, Deveronside and Newmachar United took full advantage to close the gap at the top while Hall Russell United were shut out by Westdyke at home. Elsewhere, there was a nine goal thriller at Dufftown, impressive wins for Burghead Thistle and New Elgin and a masterclass from Glentanar where Grant was in attendance.
As usual the lads give their medallists of the week, early thoughts on the North Regional Cup ties at the start of January and look ahead to the "back 9" half of the NOSFL season.
Also featuring Lewis's best away day, lovely pies and indirect assists!
