Trinity 17, October 12, 2025. Numbers 27:12-14 (EHV), Mark 2:23-28 (EHV), 2 John 6-11 (EHV). Seeking God's Will. (OT Reading): Because Moses failed to honor God at Meribah, God did not allow him to enter the Promised Land of Canaan. But he was allowed to see that land. Sometimes our sins have big consequences. Always actually. But God's grace is bigger. (Gospel Reading): Sometimes seeking God's will means backing up and asking, "Why did God make this command in the first place?" Instead of getting lost in the details, let us truly seek GOD's WILL and not justification for our own will. (NT Letter): Here love is defined as walking according to God's commands and not sharing in the wicked works of others (not even by even encouraging a little!) them along the way of evil.
