The district is actively focused on the Draft School Consolidation Plan, with Q&A sessions underway. The draft plan will be presented to the Board of Trustees on Nov. 6. Additional  ⁠Q&A Sessions⁠ are scheduled for Oct. 27, Oct. 28 and Nov. 8. 

• The district is asking for feedback from families and the community by submitting a comment card, found through the Austin ISD website. Submit your online card by Oct. 28.

Mark your calendar: The Austin ISD Special Education Dyslexia Team is hosting a documentary screening of “The Truth About Reading,” exploring literacy in America, from 6-8 p.m., Monday Oct. 27, at the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders. 

Plus, don’t miss the High School Esports Tournament on Friday, Oct. 31 where high school gamers will compete for a chance to qualify for the 2026 TexSEF State Tournament.
