Description

Welcome to Oak Performance Radio! I'm your host, Adam Lane, and we aim to share inspiring stories for athletes, parents, and coaches. Today’s guest is Dr.Sam Grams, the owner and sole practitioner at The Athlete's Place.

Her journey began out of a deep passion for establishing a space dedicated to offering personalized support and respecting each client's unique body and aspirations. Dr. Grams provides care and resources to help you take ownership of your health and stay actively engaged in the activities you love.

As a lifelong mover, she strives to support your athleticism and that of all clients throughout their lifespan. Alongside this dedication, a profound love for volleyball refuses to fade. Driven by personal experiences with injuries as an athlete, she realized a passion for aiding volleyball players in their recovery journey and guiding them to take charge of their body's well-being.

The volleyball journey began in middle school, leading to club play in high school, followed by a stint as a D1 college player at Northern Illinois University. This journey evolved into roles such as Director of Operations for the same team, ESPN color commentator, club coach, and eventually, a physical therapist.

The academic journey includes obtaining a doctorate in physical therapy from Northern Illinois University.
