Jazzy's Bio:
Hello! I’m Jazzy and I am a mental performance coach that serves athletes and performers of all categories to maximize their full potential. Just like a conditioning coach teaches techniques to strengthen muscles, I teach techniques to strengthen the mind. Performances rely a lot on our mind, so when it comes to mental performance, I am referring to the psychological components of these tasks. Components like motivation, goal setting, attention control, energy management, and effective self-talk can help increase performance and consistency when leveraged correctly. I aim to meet the client's needs by creating a supportive environment that provides them with the necessary tools to thrive not only as athletes but most importantly as individuals. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Lincoln Memorial University where I also played varsity volleyball. I then obtained a Master’s degree in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology from Barry University. Throughout both degrees I have research and applied experience in the field of sport, performance, and exercise psychology working with individuals and teams at the collegiate and youth levels. Currently, I am coaching mental skills to the military population. My style includes person-centered therapy with a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I specialize in collegiate and high school athletes, mental performance in sport, performance anxiety, sport injury, sport transitions, and routine adherence. I am originally from Franklin, Tennessee and currently reside in Temple, Texas. In my free time, I enjoy going to the lake, trying new food, volleyball, and watching documentaries.
