From the beginning, trusting in Jesus has been a response to evidence—people had faith because of evidence, not just hope. The writer, John, referred to the miracles of Jesus as signs that give evidence of Jesus' identity. The first sign John documents is when Jesus turned water into wine which is found in John 2:2–11.
