Description

In this sermon titled The Apprentice, we explore the deep tradition of apprenticeship within both the trades and the Christian faith, using the relationship between the Apostle Paul and his protégé, Timothy, as a profound example. Just as in an earthly apprenticeship, where a skilled worker teaches another, Paul mentored Timothy, helping him grow into his role as a leader in the Ephesian church. Drawing from Acts 16 and 1 Timothy 1, this message highlights four essential priorities for living a gospel-driven life: leading with love, living a life based on mercy, pursuing transformation, and staying the course in faith.

Through stories, personal reflections, and biblical teachings, the sermon challenges us to live out these priorities in our own spiritual journey. Whether it's through acts of love that set Christianity apart, extending mercy as we've received it, or embracing the slow, transformative work of God in our lives, the ultimate goal is a life that goes the distance—remaining faithful to the end, just as Timothy did.

Join us as we uncover what it means to be a true disciple of Christ, faithfully apprenticing in the ways of love, mercy, transformation, and endurance.
