In July we decided to discuss the Netflix animated series, Trese, later this month. The show introduces us to a mandirigmang-babaylan—aka a warrior-shaman—who assists the Metro Manila police in solving supernatural crimes. For us,this is our first series that’s set in the Philippines and that features elements from the country’s rich folklore. Which we know nothing about.
