In our first episode of 2022, The HOP heads south for the winter as Stephen & Gabe pay a visit to Green Bench Brewing! Green Bench was founded in 2013, making it the very first microbrewery in St. Petersburg, FL. Co-founders Steven Duffy, Nathan Stonecipher and Khris Johnson set out to create unique, standout beers using fresh, local ingredients – even diving into ciders & mead – and in 2019 they opened Webb’s City Cellar, a barrel-aging facility focusing on mixed culture, sour and wild ales. It’s easy to see why Forbes referred to Green Bench as “one of the most underrated breweries in the country.” Most importantly, the taproom is a community landmark, a place where “conversation and relationships can be forged and strengthened.”
