This week, The HOP goes international with our very first Belgian brewery! While you’ve likely never heard of Brewery Huyghe, a 4th generation family-owned company operating in the city of Melle, you likely have heard of Delirium. The flagship beer under the Delirium label, Delirium Tremens, has garnered worldwide recognition since its debut in 1988 with some calling it the “best beer in the world.” Today the Delirium brand is home to 8 unique beers and is easily the brewery’s most widely distributed and internationally recognizable product. Stephen & Gabe take a look at the rich history of Brewery Huyghe with a heavy focus on the pink elephants, and Stephen comes face to face with a beer he’s feared for nearly 10 years.
