Nestled in the mountains of Mount Washington Valley there lies a quaint, nondescript New England inn housing a smokehouse and brewery that’s been in the game for more than two decades. Stephen Johnson founded Moat Mountain Brewing in 2000, opening a restaurant and brewpub in an aged, historic New Hampshire building. He expanded the operation in 2013, restoring the Limmer Barn to open the Moat Mountain Brewery Barn and Cannery, where most of the year round production occurs today. Stephen & Gabe sample several beers and, (most importantly,) spend some time drooling over the remarkable smokehouse menu. We’re due for a trip to New Hampshire!
Featured beers: Boneshaker Brown Ale, Ms. V’s Blueberry Ale & Scottie’s IPA. Plus: Our special toast to commemorate Juneteenth features the powerful voice of slam poet Ben Aragbaye reciting his piece, “Words for You.”
