We hear GURUS use the airplane example when teaching about personal growth. They say, "when you're on the airplane, the flight attendant tells you to put your mask on first". They do this because we can't help anyone before we're feeling good ourselves. Well, that same principle applies to life, except for on the airplane, we actually get to place the mask on our child. In real life, it's easy to continually focus on placing the mask on ourselves.
Personal growth can be a trap and Eric gives a great example of that in this episode.
