When the world outside is burning and the noise inside won’t stay quiet, where do you go.
This episode came out of a night lit by wildfire, smoke in the air, panic creeping in sideways. Grief stacks like that. One fear wakes another. Motherhood adds math to it. You are always counting exits, even when you’re standing still.
I talk through what it feels like to weigh leaving against staying, to wonder if safety is real or just something we agree to believe so we can sleep. To raise a child who has already seen too much and still ask her to trust the world anyway.
This isn’t inspirational. It’s honest.
The question underneath it all is simple and brutal.
Is it safer to stay in the fire you know, or risk the unknown.
