At the height of the pandemic, I recorded a podcast with Dr Nikolai Petrovsky, a globally-renowned researcher in the field of immunology, endocrinology and vaccine development. He was also the only Australian to have an approved COVID vaccine on the market - and yet, despite his absolute expertise on the subject, YouTube decided to pull my podcast down for "misinformation."
Someone was sitting in an office, making decisions on what people could or could not learn about what was happening around the world.
We were being censored. Fast forward to 2024, and the Government is in a legal stoush with Twitter to remove footage of a recent attack in Sydney. Which begs the question - when does Censorship go too far? And who SHOULD have the ultimate say in what gets censored? I ponder over this in this weeks' episode of JP's Ponderings.
