Sadie is an artist currently based in Whitehorse, Yukon, who identifies as a white queer cis woman and a post-colonial Canadian settler. We talk about how she feels creatively settled in Whitehorse, the process of creating her solo “Frame of Reference” for the Yukon Riverside Arts Festival, how her final year at Ryerson has brought new challenges, and why her work is influenced by her northern upbringing, environmentalism and advocating for human rights.
