Description

Here we go on a missionary journey with Paul with Saul and Barnabas Barnabas. We encounter a sour sour, or a magician, Paul turns his magic back on himself, and we have something interesting. In this chapter that is easily overlooked. We read about the name change of Saul or his double name, Saul, who is also called Paul within a sentence or so. Of this we read about a governor of Cypress, who is named Paul as well. That is Sergius, Paul or sergius Paulus. Perhaps there could be a connection to Paul’s name change to this Paul, a governor in the Roman world, who turns his life to Jesus Christ. Then we go on and find ourselves in another Antioch, not the major antique in the Roman world, but a smaller one in Pilla. Here we have Paul give a long and glorious speech about Jewish history, culminating, and climbing in the person of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit being pulled out and forgiveness of sins being given.
