How much have you pondered the Psalm superscripts? Psalm 110 opens with a profound declaration: “The LORD said to my Lord.” In this study, we examine the prophetic and theological weight of that statement in light of how the superscript is translated and interpreted. This is the first episode of my 3-part study through Psalm 110. In The Wisdom Crucible, I aim to refine understanding through careful study and reflection. Here, we consider how this Psalm uses David’s voice to provide a Holy Spirit inspired revelation of Christ’s eternal reign.
